The NIMROD is a wide area finishing mower capable of in excess of 40 hectares per dayIt comprises of three mower units held within a heavy duty transport frame. There are six widths ranging from 3.35m (11ft ) to a ground eating 5.79m (19ft ), the two side units fold up hydraulically to 2.43m (8ft) for transport. There is a mechanical safety locking system and two large low ground pres- sure transport wheels. Each unit has a B section belt drive system with remote central greasing points, an anti-scalp roller and four 360° caster wheels.This allows greater manoeuvrability and independent movement of the decks so that each unit can float within the articulating frame giving excellent ground contour following properties which is ideal for undulating ground conditions. The NIMROD can be powered by as little as 30hp and there is an option for a mulching kit available. Being used successfully in the UK by many local authorities and turf farms. |
