Rapier Flail

 

For use with all the commercial out front units, this 1.5m (5ft ) mower will pulverise the cuttings and do it at speed.

Non pneumatic foam filled wheels are fitted as standard to reduce the incidence of punctures, and these are fully castored for easy manoeuverability. A unique rack and pinion height adjustment system operates the rear roller up and down to achieve and optimum height. The RAPIER is offset to the right in order to be able to mow in the direction of traffic movement and allow margin for safety. This mower is designed to cope with the rigours of everyday local authority use, producing a fine finish on turf and with the ability to mow through thick heavy growth. The RAPIER is available to fit on most of the out front commercial mowing units, including the New Holland, John Deere, Kubota, Iseki, Carraro and Shibauru.

With aerofoiled flail tips designed to reduce the horsepower required and give a high quality commercial finish on fine turf but still maintain enough energy to cope with the rougher areas. The deck has been designed with a triplex belt system and a double skinned shell which produces immense rigidity as well as providing extra protection from stone damage. The effect will also be to give a more even windband around the flail rotor which will further reduce the horsepower requirement to a minimum of 27hp.
